Money makes the world go round. Without it, your life would look very different. In this blog post, I’m going to share 5 of the best money books for women by women. My hope is that they’ll help change the way you think about money so you can begin attracting more and more!
The following books are in no specific order. They all have made a positive impact in my money mindset. All of them bring unique concepts from each author but they all have the same goal in mind: to bring more money to the hands of women! That way we can truly change the world.
1. We Should All Be Millionaires: A Woman’s Guide to Earning More, Building Wealth, and Gaining Economic Power by Rachel Rodgers
Book description from Goodreads: “We Should All Be Millionaires details a realistic, achievable, step-by-step path to creating the support, confidence, and plan you need to own your success and become the millionaire the world needs you to be.”
Rachel Rodgers is truly an inspiration to thousands of women of color, including myself. One of the reasons I loved this book is because Rachel keeps it real and calls you out on your “broke” money decisions. In this book, she will not only inspire the hell out of you but she’ll give you actionable steps to follow so that you can be on your way to millionaire status.
2. Get Rich, Lucky Bitch: Release Your Money Blocks and Live a First-Class Life by Denise Duffield Thomas
Book description from Goodreads: “Why do most women settle for pennies instead of embracing true wealth? It’s not because you’re not smart or ambitious enough. You’ve just been programmed to block your Universal right to wealth with guilt, shame, or embarrassment. Even if you’re unaware of these blocks and fears, you’re probably not earning what you’re really worth.
Join Lucky Bitch author Denise Duffield-Thomas on a journey of self-discovery so you can smash through your abundance blocks and join a posse of women all around the world who are learning to live large and become truly lucky bitches.”
I chose this book for my “best money books for women by women” list because Denise teaches you how to recognize and release your money blocks. We all have some ingrained in our brains stemming from childhood most likely. This book is an easy read that helps you change those nasty patterns by taking simple steps.
One of my favorite concepts I’ve gotten from this book is to make incremental upgrades to step into feeling more abundant. For example, instead of feeling like you have to remodel your whole outdated kitchen, Denise would suggest to begin by purchasing small upgrades like purchasing a new set of dinnerware or replacing your broken appliances.
3. Rich as F*ck: More Money Than You Know What to Do With by Amanda Frances
Book description from Amazon: “In Rich as F*ck, Amanda Frances demystifies the topic of money, cracking the code of financial liberation and abundance. Her magnetic words will open your heart and mind and help you see the truth about how money actually works.”
Once you enter Amanda’s world, it’s hard to stop watching. She’ll remind you that she’s “just a girl from a small town in Oklahoma” who’s currently living her wealthy woman life in Southern California. This book dives deep into changing your entire relationship with money. I’ve never read anything like it. I like how Amanda uses the topic of energetics in her teachings as opposed to only strategies.
I loved how Amanda included “homework” at the end of every chapter. If you read this book with the intention to do the work, I have no doubt in my mind that you’ll change the way you view and use money. One of my favorite affirmations from Amanda is, “money was created to support me.” Say that every morning and you’ll feel a shift.
4. Abundance Now: Amplify your Life and Achieve Prosperity by Lisa Nichols and Janet Switzer
Book description from Goodreads: ” Abundance Now offers provocative lessons, actionable plans and real-life case-studies, Nichols reveals what we must do every day to attract abundance, how to act as if we are already leading abundant lives, and how to open the door to a life of richness in your work, your relationships, your money, and in your view of yourself.”
Lisa’s story is pretty incredible. She went from rationing food as a single mother to her son, to the successful powerhouse she is today. This book will inspire you to stop settling for less and take your life to the next level. Lisa provides simple tools to motivate you to live abundantly because that’s what you deserve.
5. You are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth by Jen Sincero
Book description from Goodreads: “Drawing on her own transformation—over just a few years—from a woman living in a converted garage with tumbleweeds blowing through her bank account to a woman who travels the world in style, Jen Sincero channels the inimitable sass and practicality that made You Are a Badass an indomitable bestseller”
This is my final choice for my “best money books for women by women” because Jen teaches you how to improve your money mindset in this book. She uses concepts such as manifestation and vibrations to help you master your relationship with money. One of my favorite activities in the book was her suggestion to write a letter to money. It sounds pretty out there, but when you sit down and focus on everything money has done for you, you begin to appreciate it on a different level.
