With an overwhelming number of podcasts available today, I’ve come up with my 5 best podcasts for the Conscious Latina. In this post, I chose the best podcasts from a variety of categories ranging from personal finance to relationships.
Listening to podcasts has become one of my favorite pastimes. One of the reasons being is that they are easily accessible and I’m able to do other things while listening to them. Honestly, I was late to the podcast party being that I started listening to them only a few years ago. Since then, I’ve been hooked.
I remember when I discovered the following podcasts. They, of course, made me feel seen and validated not just because the hosts are Latinas like me, but because there is passion around helping others. I am beyond grateful to the creators/hosts of these podcasts because they stepped out of their comfort zones and created something that has impacted many lives (including mine) and will continue to do so.
The following list is in no particular order. These podcasts have been an integral part of my self-development journey. These women have ignited a fire in me to step into the next version of myself. The version that is here to make a positive impact in the world!
1. Yo Quiero Dinero: Personal Finance for Latinas
Hosted by Jannese Torres-Rodriguez, Latina money expert, entrepreneur and business coach. This podcast is “a platform to connect you with Latinas and POC (people of color) change makers who are sharing their personal finance stories and inspiring you to take your dinero to the next level.”

Jannese went from a six-figure engineer to an accidental entrepreneur. She’s now teaching her listeners how to create side hustles and careers to create opportunities and freedom. In this podcast, Jannese interviews other entrepreneurial women of color and personal finance experts. This podcast has taught me so much in regard to money. I love how Jannese keeps it real and is so transparent with her personal journey as a multi-six figure entrepreneur.
2. The Level Up Latina Podcast
Hosted by three friends of over 20 years: Cecilia, Veronica and Irene. They met at UC Santa Barbara and aside from being professional women and mothers, they are also life coaches. The mission of this podcast is the following: “To partner with women and mommas alike to guide them in achieving fulfilling career and life goals through financial empowerment, professional or leadership coaching, and personal wellness.”

This was the first podcast I discovered hosted by Mexican-American women like me. I felt so excited and proud. The friendship Ceci, Vero and Irene share with their listeners is awesome to listen to. I also love the fact that all 3 of them are in their late 30s with valuable life experience we can learn from. Having 3 hosts is unique in the sense that we get to hear different perspectives in each episode.
3. Chingona Revolution
Hosted by Erika Cruz, “A rebel who left a 6 figure tech job to pursue her own unconventional path to success by following her passion that led to her purpose”. In this podcast, “Erika will bring out of you that BADASS LATINA through her experiences as well as some of her friends to overcome self-doubt and family expectations, and lead with COURAGE.”

Erika Cruz has a way of making you think big…and outside the box. I love how she talks about not taking the traditional path expected for her. Hearing her story and her badass guests’ stories are so inspiring and will empower you to also begin taking action towards a more purposeful life of your own.
4. The Confidence Chronicles
Hosted by Erika Cramer, an international confidence coach and author. This podcast “offers a raw and real insight into Erika’s life as a mother, entrepreneur and confidence coach. Short, sharp and to the point, this podcast delves into a range of topics, from self-love, toxic relationships, personal growth and money mindset.”

Erika “from America” is currently living in Australia but she is Puerto Rican. This podcast is one that I love to listen to in the mornings because Erika Cramer has so much energy and gives “loving bitch slaps” in many of her episodes. She also keeps it real and doesn’t hold back when talking about personal growth and not giving a f*ck about what others think. You can feel her passion through the speaker that it’ll make you binge her podcast wanting more.
5. How to Talk to [Mamí & Papí] About Anything
Hosted by Juleyka Lantigua, a veteran journalist. This podcast is about “real-life scenarios and practical, professional advice for adult children of immigrants on talking to our parents and stuff that’s taboo to them.”

This podcast is so intriguing to me, as a daughter of immigrants. I love that each episode is straight to the point and you get advice from professionals in terms of how to navigate difficult conversations. Some of the episodes have resonated with me so much that I always feel super grateful to Juleyka for creating this show for First-Gens like me.
Bonus: Latinas Booked Out
Hosted by Catalina Del Carmen, multiple six-figure business coach. This podcast is “dedicated to putting more cash in the hands of WOC coaches.”

I had to add a bonus podcast to my list of the “Best Podcasts for the Conscious Latina” because this one will also inspire you. It used to be called “Follow that Fear” but although the name changed, the concept remained the same. I love how Cat teaches you that it’s okay to want more. When we have more money, we are able to make a bigger impact in so many ways. Although this podcast is geared towards coaches, the ideas are useful in other areas of life también.
